Digestive system physiology lab 1

Digestive system

 : Salivary digestion

The Enzymes
1 - Amylase
2 - Lingual lipase

* The reactions "focus to color below"
starch+AmylaseSoluble starch+AmylaseErythrodextrin+AmylaseAcrodextrin(colorless) +AmylaseDextrin+AmylaseMaltose+AmylaseGlucose

The Experiments :

1) Acronic point

The steps :
1 - Add 1ML of saliva to tube. ,with 9ML NACL to make diluted saliva 1:10
2 - Add drop of iodin to 6 or 7 tubes "drop to each tube "
3 - Add 5 ML of starch + 1 ML of diluted saliva
4 - Add drop of the solution every 1 minute to one of iodin tubes "tube every minute "

conclusion
Rich enzymes saliva will change its color quickly like reactions above

1) Detection of No3

Saliva + H2SO4 + KI + starch ➟ Blue color
Because
NO3 + KI + H2SO4   ➟ I + Starch "blue color"
